WayKo Logistics Startup
Co-founded a logistics-tech startup dedicated to modernizing the Philippine supply chain. WayKo replaces traditional pen-and-paper routing with automated, data-driven logistics strategies. We specialize in helping B2B wholesale distributors and last-mile delivery fleets transform raw purchase order data into optimized, executable delivery schedules. We were able to acquire multiple clients during the period of 2023 to 2025, but eventually had to stop operations. It was still an amazing learning experience, not only on the technical aspect, but also with regards to developing a business and dealing with customers. Core Impact & Responsibilities
Algorithm Engineering: Built the company’s core intellectual property—a proprietary route optimization engine developed in R. I utilized linear programming to solve complex, multi-variable constraints including vehicle load capacities, strict delivery time windows, and driver shift limits.
Operational Digitization: Led the transition of manual logistics workflows into digital systems. By analyzing historical purchase orders and fleet capabilities, I designed a system where users can generate 100% feasible routes for multiple trucks across dozens of locations in seconds.
Product-Market Fit & Revenue: Validated the business model within the regional ecosystem by securing early B2B clients and generating over $10,000 in revenue through hands-on field research and product iteration.
Strategic Optimization: Directly improved client bottom lines by reducing fuel consumption and increasing vehicle utilization through mathematically-backed route efficiency.
